Book introductions that give helpful information about each book of the Bible. Kids can read this Bible on their own! Especially after a few years you also need to update them. In the process, we've come across some great Bibles and some great Bible tools. Usually there's some kind of personal reflection included in the devotional and sometimes a follow-up action.

Children are here told that Hebrews says they each have a personal guardian angel that keeps them safe and talks to God for them, which is more mythological than Scriptural. Bible book introductions are short and to the point. This day devotional with all-new content includes topics on self-esteem, courage, friendship, and many more! Features include: Short weekday devotions that help young readers apply Bible lessons for a full year 52 weekend devotions that teach kids about God's creation through fun activities like visiting the zoo and gazing at the stars "Got It" feature that encourages kids to find answers to Bible trivia themselves Book introductions that give helpful information about each book of the Bible A dictionary to look up words they want to know more about The complete text of the New International Version translation, which uses shorter sentences and easier words. You may unsubscribe from these email communications at any time.

Especially after a few years you also need to update them. Shelves: children-s-ministry There's been a big push in our kids programs lately to get kids to bring and use their Bible at church we've even started a Got Bible competition! Recommended for ages 6 to 10 years. I was sent this book for free for only my honest and unbiased review. Every page or every other page has a small devotional dedicated to the scripture listed in it. Just enough to give kids a bit of background without bogging them down.

NIrV Kids Devotional Bible book

The problem here is that we are indeed called slaves, servants, friends, and children, among other things. This day devotional is filled with exciting daily devotions inspires readers to read about, write about, and, most importantly, live out their faith. They are somewhat realistic and somewhat cartoony - a perfect mix for kids.

Book of Matthew

I was sent this book Okay, so I had a number of problems with this book. It's presented in an age-appropriate way and seems like and effective way for kids to start thinking seriously about the role of God in their lives.

It would have been nice to see a few illustrations of the Bible stories along the way as well. It's a good way to cement in some crucial theology in a quick, concise way.

The complete NIrV text, which uses shorter sentences and easier words. All things considered, I leave it up to parents and guardians as to determine what translation their children should use and encourage them to know what their children are reading and studying, but do think the majority of devotionals found in this collection alongside the NIrV may prove beneficial, taking into account the disagreements of some significance stated above.

The first being the fact that it is advertised as a KIDS" Bible, yet the print size is incredibly small, the words choice was also poor for children as many children would not understand the words, and the Bible is just way too thick and heavy for a child.

What violence have you seen in your world? Shelves: children-s-ministry There's been a big push in our kids programs lately to get kids to bring and use their Bible at church we've even started a Got Bible competition!

Especially after a few years you also need to update them. Check out more Bible reviews on my Growing Kids Ministry blog. See Daniel — I do some studying from it myself when looking for things for the kids The devotions are easy to understand and my kids six plus relate and understand them very easily.

That was fun. This should have been titles "Teens' Devotional Bible". The devotional states very clearly that Noah lived in violent times, and also asks children to compare those times to the times we live in now. As a result, we're constantly on a search for age-appropriate Bibles to recommend for parents.

Since this Bible is for kids, how does it present some of the more violent and dark stories of the Bible? They shouldn't be 20 getting an update from their first tiny little New Testament that was bought for them as a tiny baby.

Children are here told that Hebrews says they each have a personal guardian angel that keeps them safe and talks to God for them, which is more mythological than Scriptural. The part I love the best about each devotional excerpt is the footnote at the end where it states where further study can be found.
